Human Bionics Interface is excited to see the Bionics Institute, a world leader in medical bionics based in Melbourne, Australia hosting the conference “Medical Bionics – Convergence Science delivering Clinical Solutions’ in Brisbane in late 2016.
This 4th meeting in the Medical Bionics series hosted by the Bionics Institute and developed by a Steering Committee represents some of the key clinical and research organizations working in medical bionics in Australia and New Zealand. This conference will be held November 20-23, 2016, at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
The conference consists of invited keynote presentations, presentations from early career researchers as well as poster presentations in a relaxed and informal environment designed to promote networking opportunities. The scientific program is deliberately broad and designed to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of state-of-the-art developments in areas that include: Medical Bionics design, development and commercialization; Electrode-tissue interface: smart materials and drug delivery techniques; Bioelectronics: neuromodulation of visceral nerves for therapeutic intervention; Bionic Hearing; Retinal and central visual prostheses; Neurobionics: Neural interfaces for the CNS – recording and neuromodulation technologies; Enabling technologies and Blue Sky research.
